Diabetes Incorporated has been serving Type 1 diabetic kids in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota since 1998. Diabetes Incorporated provides and facilitates quality education and services for and on behalf of children and adolescents in the diabetic community.

Donations
We are always in need of financial donations and other donations for our annual Taste of Caring Fundraiser and raffle for Kamp for Kids. Please email or call us if you would like to donate an item or have any questions.

Become a Member
Becoming a member is easy, just click and pay $10. You will then get information for all our events and be able to atttend the events.
What We Do
Diabetes Incorporated offers Kamp for Kids and other Type 1 events for kids and their families. We can also help guide you through insurance, find financial help for diabetic supplies, partner you with another type 1 diabetic family for support, or anything else you may need. We offer yearly scholarships for Type 1 kids or if you have a Type 1 family member.

What we Offer
Scholarships
2023 – 2024 scholarship application and requirements will posted at the end of February 2023.
We offer 3 scholarships between $1,000 and $1,500 each year and are currently working on a new application process. The new application and eligability information will be posted at the end of February with an April deadline. Our scholarships are for people with Type 1 diabetes or with a family member with Type 1 diabetes.
Kamp for Kids
August 11 – 13, 2023
Camp will be August 11 – 13, 2023 at Outlaw Ranch in Custer, South Dakota. We will open registration on May 13, 2023. We will stop taking registration July 18, 2023, unless we fill up before. No late registrations will be accepted.
Camp is free for each Type 1 child and a guardian or parents, but you must become a Diabetes Incorporated member and pay the registration reservation fee, which will be reimbursed in a check at camp. Additional family members are welcome for a small fee. You will see the amounts on the registration form.
When registering you must pay to become a member of Diabetes Incorporated for $10. You must also pay the $50 registration fee. The registration fee will be returned in the form of a check at camp, if you cancel less than 2 weeks before camp or do not show up to camp, then your registration reservation fee will be forfeited.
Your registration is not complete unless you pay the $10 membership fee and $50 registration fee. Camp is limited and may close before July 18th if it fills up.
Taste of Caring Gala
Tickets will go on sale at the begining of January.
Taste of Caring is the primary fundraising vehicle for Diabetes Incorporated’s camps for families of children with diabetes, support groups, case management, scholarships and other diabetes related services. Kamp for Kids is held annually at Outlaw Ranch in the beautiful southern Black Hills.

We will have some amazing items to bid on at our charity auction. There will be artwork, jewelry, gift baskets, and special interest items! Check out our website and social media for items when the event gets closer.
Type 1 Events
We will be offering different events for Type 1 diabetic kids and their families throughout the year. We will always post information on our website along with posting on our Facebook and Instagram. To attend the events your family must become a Diabetes Incorporated member and you will be able to attend events for free.
